1960s "Avant Garde" Jewelled Green Enamel Sunglasses

These early-1960s Christian Dior by Tura iconic sunglasses are in a style called "Avant Garde" that was featured in the 1962 Tura catalogue. The oval frames are 12K gold filled metal and mint green enamel embellished with sky blue rhinestones, and turquoise and white beads. They have a scroll bridge and dark green UV protection lenses. The back of the frames are signed "CHRISTIAN DIOR", and each arm is signed "1/10 12K GF" on each arm. The lenses, temple tips, and some of the screws have been replaced. They are in very good condition with minimal signs of wear.
