1985 S/S Snowdrop Print Purple Silk Cocktail Dress

This 1985 S/S Valentino Boutique cocktail dress was featured in multiple colorways on that season's runway. It was made in Italy of purple silk with a snowdrop print and a silk chiffon lining. The neck has a built-in scarf tie, the fabric is ruched around the waist and hips, and an interior waist stay maintains the form. The dress fastens with a Talon zipper at the left side and two hook-and-eyes at the back of the neck.
It is in very good condition with a few notes: it appears to have been hemmed around two inches by the previous owner, the silk has lost some of its lustre from being washed and there's a light spot on the front of the skirt. A repair was made to the silk that ties around the neck, and is not visible when tied. We have adjusted the price to reflect these imperfections, and it remains a highly wearable and very special piece. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
