1920s Scenic Petit Point Bejeweled Frame Bag

We believe that this very special bag was made in Hungary in the 1920s, if not earlier. It has a bejeweled brass frame with hand-painted flowers, a cream silk faille interior, and gold metallic piping trim. There's a floral print on one side and a scenic print depicting a girl with a rooster on the other. The 19" chain strap attached has figural swan hardware. There are two interior pockets and an illegible maker's mark on the faille. The bag measures 7.7" wide x 7" high.
Overall it's in very good condition for its age but there are a few flaws to note:
- patina to the metal
- loose stitching around the frame
- wear to the gold piping
- missing one of the rhinestones on the strap
- discolouration to the lining
- the fabric has some wear around the girl's face
It remains a charming and useable piece.
