Geoffrey Beene
1960s Color-Block Raw Silk Romper & Maxi Skirt Set
$750.00
This late-1960s Geoffrey Beene raw silk romper, skirt, and sash set was originally purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue.
The collared romper has a creamsicle orange top and olive green shorts. It's unlined, with an interior waist stay and two buttons on each cuff. It fastens in the front with five fabric-covered buttons and a zipper fly. The purple paneled maxi skirt has a chartreuse lining and a rounded hemline with a slit up each side and at the front. It fastens with four fabric-covered button in the front and two hook-and-eyes at the waist. The set comes with the original 82" (94" with fringe) x 6" pink sash belt that snaps into place on the left side of the romper.
Overall, the set is in excellent condition. There is a small spot in the right armpit and one on the belt; both are very discreet. Please note that only the romper is labeled. All the pieces have been professionally dry-cleaned and are ready to wear.
