Yves Saint Laurent
1979 Documented Stars and Moons Tunic
Sold Out
An iconic and well documented brightly printed duster dress, from Yves Saint Laurent’s 1979 Rive Gauche line. Made from a thin rayon crepe, with slightly loose fitting ¾ length sleeves and two long slits up the sides up to the hips. Does up the front with 4 small round buttons, from the small pointed collar down to the hips, the bottom on the front being left open. This piece was designed to be worn with something underneath. The whimsical star and moon print is green, blue, purple, red and white. It looks quite similar to a print put out by Gucci last season, making this an ideal choice for vintage wear that may be translated to contemporary style. This piece was photographed by Guy Bourdin in 1979 (see 2nd photo).
