Hermès
for Marie Brizard 'Ex Libris' by Hugo Grykar 1946 Silk Scarf in Box
This authentic Hermes scarf has the iconic Ex Libris pattern originally designed by Hugo Grykar in 1946. It is Hermes for Marie Brizard, a French liquor company founded in 1755, by whom it appears to have been commissioned. It is pure silk, with hand-rolled edges facing up, and comes in its original box. It is in very good condition; there are two pin-sized dots on the bottom right corner, as shown in the last photo. They are imperceptible, except under very close inspection. The box shows some wear around the edges.
