1983 S/S Red Cotton Mesh Top & High-Waisted Trouser Set

This 1983 S/S Claude Montana top and trouser set was made in Italy. Many versions of the top and trousers were featured on that season's runway. The top is a sheer red cotton mesh, with two breast pockets, short sleeves with a snap on each cuff, and a 3.5" slit up each side. It pulls over the wearer's head, with a buckle over the right shoulder. The high-waisted trousers are red cotton that fasten with a zipper fly and snap at the waist. They have an inverted pleat down the side of each leg, a pocket on each side, and two back pockets that snap shut. The belt-like strap at the back of the waist snaps off.
The top is in excellent condition, and the pants are in very good condition, with some minor coloring fading from the wash. The set is clean and ready to wear.
