This musem-worthy 1985-86 F/W Kansai Yamamoto International jacket and skirt set was made in Japan of unlined salmon pink and ultramarine blue color block thick cotton jersey with "7:00 a.m. Tues." and "YA12453(006)IJF KANSAI" throughout. Multiple versions of the outfit were featured on that season's runway.
The "jacket" is more of a cloak; it's a 61.5" x 57" square with two arms that can be worn either direction. In fact, there are many options of how to wear this piece. There are no closures but a suspender clip near one of the arm holes to hold it in place. It has contrast stitching. The high-waisted skirt has a handkerchief hem and four suspender clips that allow you to play with the shape. It slips on, with a stretchy ribbed waistband. The set shows some signs of light general wear but is overall in very good condition, clean and ready to wear.
