This 1990 S/S Sonia Rykiel Paris pant suit was made in France of unlined white 66% acetate/34% rayon crepe. It has ornate gold-tone metal buttons with rhinestone centers. The black version was featured on that season's runway.
The light jacket is longer in the front, with built-in shoulder pads and two front pockets that button shut. It fastens with four buttons in the front and four buttons at each cuff. The high-waisted trousers have wide pleated legs and a pocket at each side. They fastens with a zipper fly and a fabric-covered button at the waistband (an extra button is included.)
Overall, the pant suit is in very good condition. There was a small hole on the right sleeve that has been patched. It has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.
